Your drawings are amazing! Is there a specific name for the style of crosshatching you use for the 'solid rock' parts in the first one here? I have always wanted to do that, but when I try it looks like poopy.
Hi Chris, as far as I know there's no specific name for that style of crosshatching I used, but I could be wrong. I didn't come up with it, but I tend to use it since I think it's a pretty attractive way to fill in an area of stone or other solid material.
The first maps I made with that crosshatching looked pretty poopy too, so don't get discouraged if your stuff isn't turning out the way you had hoped. It's always a good idea to try out new styles and techniques. You might find something that works for you that you can incorporate into your own style :)
Awesome work!
